ACA/ACCA Qualified Assistant Manager - Accountancy Practice

Watson Evans Associates have been instructed by a leading firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Truro who are seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead their Corporate Department.

The position is being made available on a full time, permanent basis and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior to progress into a management level role. The post will be offered with a salary likely to be between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent on experience with an attractive benefits package.

The successful Assistant Manager will take up a key role within the department and will act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Producing and reviewing accounts for a diverse range of businesses
  • Leading client meetings and continuing correspondence
  • Corporate tax
  • Management of a small team, overseeing and reviewing their work and aiding their development

Ideally candidates will be ACA or ACCA qualified with some post qualification experience. They must have recent experience in accountancy practice while being commercially astute while retaining a focus on client care. Experience of managing a small team would be an advantage, but not essential.
