3rd Line Systems Engineer

I am seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in providing 3rd line technical support and implementing cutting-edge IT solutions for clients. Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, the successful candidate will ensure the best possible customer experience through expert troubleshooting and proactive support.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 3rd line technical support via the service desk, handling escalations and mentoring junior team members, as well as work on Technical Projects
Resolve customer issues within SLA guidelines, ensuring high-quality service
Implement and maintain Azure, Office 365, networking, virtualisation, and backup solutions
Manage vendor escalations and liaise with 3rd party support teams
Configure and support Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SQL Server, and networking infrastructure (Cisco, Meraki, Sonic Wall)
Maintain and improve remote management systems.
Undertake client site visits for solution implementation and troubleshooting
Participate in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks) for evening and weekend support

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience in a 3rd Line role and/or MSP experience in a 3rd line role or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Azure, Office 365, Networking (WAN, LAN, VPN, RDP), Windows Server (2008-2019), Exchange, SQL Server, VMware, Hyper-V
Experience with backup technologies (Veeam, Datto, Veritas)
Industry certifications (Microsoft, CCNA, VMware, Veeam) - highly desirable
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional, customer-focused approach
A full UK driving license and permanent access to a reliable vehicle for business us
