3rd Line IT Support Consultant

?? Location: Oxfordshire - Home, Office & Client Sites

My client are on the lookout for a proactive, customer-focused 3rd Line IT Support Consultant to join their growing team! This is a dynamic role combining remote, office, and on-site support across Oxfordshire and the Midlands. You'll be part of a friendly, fast-moving team, handling BAU support, major projects, and technical leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing:

? Deliver top-tier customer service - always!
? Provide expert on-site, remote, and phone support
? Manage and improve IT processes, infrastructure, and security
? Lead and implement major IT projects
? Research, test, and evaluate emerging technologies
? Act as an escalation point for 1st & 2nd line support
? Work with 3rd-party vendors to resolve complex issues
? Keep documentation sharp and up-to-date
? Mentor and guide junior team members

What They're Looking For:

? Essential Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service mindset
  • Proven troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune
  • Windows Server, Exchange, Hyper-V
  • Networking (VLAN, VPN, Firewalls, WatchGuard, Meraki, Ubiquiti, VOIP)
  • Security solutions (Sophos, Cisco Umbrella)
  • Hardware support (Dell, HP, Lenovo)
  • A full UK driving licence

? Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Degree in IT or related field
  • 4+ years in a similar role (preferably MSP)
  • MCSA, Azure, or Microsoft 365 certifications
  • ITIL Foundation
  • VMware vSphere, SAN, iSCSI experience
