3rd Line Support Engineer

My client is a well known brand based in the heart of Coventry. They have been through tremendous change over the last year, and have exciting growth plans for this year across the board. As a 3rd Line Support Engineer you will be responsible for being able to:

  • Plan and implement maintenance and installation work
  • Provide support from both a BAU perspective, as well as supporting on projects within the business
  • Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution
  • Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures.]
  • Find solutions and provide advice on infrastructure queries to our internal customers via the service management system
  • Maintain and enhance the infrastructure through regular maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting help desk tickets and forward planning of upgrades, enhancements and disaster recovery.
  • Possess thorough experience in key technologies such as Active Directory, DFS, Group Policy, VPN
  • Possess working-knowledge of SCCM for deployment, patching and lifecycle management
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in data security including firewalls, BitLocker & WiFi configuration


The successful candidate for 3rd Line Support Engineer will be able to:

  • Proven working knowledge with Microsoft / VMware/ Citrix / Azure and O365 products or the majority of these.
  • Proven and clearly demonstrable experience of applying analytical skills to complex technical issues within business processes, recommending solutions for these.
  • Desirably working within a ITIL IT Environment or an ITIL qualification
  • A certified networking and applications knowledge
  • Proven and clearly demonstrable experience in delivering IT based projects using a structured methodology.

Job Offer

Salaried up to £32,000
