We have a new opportunity for a 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer to join an internationally renowned manufacturer. The 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer will be joining a small team who are responsible for ensuring the entire groups infrastructure runs securely and efficiently while driving forward new technologies.

The role is split 50/50 between BAU support and Project work. As the 3rd Line IT Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting new and existing systems while producing support documentation and guidance for your 1st and 2nd line colleagues.

The Team are responsible for the following core technologies across multiple sites both in the UK and internationally: Microsoft Server and Client, Microsoft Systems Centre (management, ticketing, monitoring and automation), VMware, Cisco (LAN, Wi-Fi and WAN) and Veeam.

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of VMware (vSphere 6.0 +) as well as a good knowledge of SAN Storage technologies (for example HP P4500 and / or VSA).

It is also important you have demonstrable experience in a similar role where you were supporting a fast-paced, multi-site environment, while working on multiple tasks simultaneously.

Due to the size of the team you will need to help out in other areas so a broad knowledge in some of the following is preferred: Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, Exchange, SQL Server, Office365, Azure, Cisco networking (LAN / WAN, Wi-Fi), Back up and Disaster recovery.

If you like the sound of the above and you would like to join a fast-paced organisation with excellent career prospects. Then please get in touch with Michael Johnson of Venables Parsons Search & Selection (VPss).
