Lead Tooling and Launch Engineer for Complex Pressed Vendor Tooled Parts
Press Part development- Understanding in an automotive arena.
Experience in delivering launch activities supporting pressed part/Body in White assembled parts.
An understanding of engineering to Inspection report data to support quality road map planning to engineering requirements, while interfacing with supplier, manufacturing engineering functions.
Reporting to the Body Construction Programme Manager, within the Supplier Technical Management Tooling & Pressed Pattern Group organisation you will be responsible for `assisting¿ the tooling engineer/nominated supplier during the build `maturation phases' of the project. It is therefore essential to possess past experiences in Launch, Tooling development, Supplier Technical Assistance in BIW related activities to conduct this role. Here you will be the direct link between the production plant and the suppliers/toolmakers/JLR tooling Engineer, responsible for ensuring appropriate, build support, reporting and issue resolution. Ideally, the candidate, a highly motivated and logical thinking individual, will possess a suitable back ground in body construction/ press tool development and a proven track record of project/programme delivery, through launch planning LQOS support activities, educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications in a related field.
