2nd Line Technical Support Engineer | Northamptonshire | Up to £30,000
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for an experienced Support Engineer | 2nd Line Support, who is keen to advance their career within the IT support industry.
For the right individual they will support the career growth to Senior 2nd Line, 3rd Line, Team Leader and onwards.
As 2nd Line Support you will be responsible for escalations taken from the 1st line team, along with incident management, change management, problem resolution and project work. You will investigate infrastructure solutions, own escalations, problems and projects from an early stage through to completion.
The must have's:
4 to 5 years in the IT Industry
Previous experience working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP)
MCSA in Server 2012 or 2016
If you have one of the following certifications this will be beneficial:
You will have solid knowledge of networking concepts and the ability to troubleshoot networking incidents
Knowledge of Microsoft solutions including:
Windows Server 2016/2012
SQL Server 2016/2014/2012
Knowledge of Microsoft desktop solutions including Windows 7, 8 and 10 and the Office Suite
Server virtualisation knowledge : VMware (ideally) or Hyper-V
Application and desktop virtualisation knowledge in:
Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x
WEM & PVS
