2nd Line Technical Support Engineer/ Junior Systems Administrator


Headline: 2nd Line Technical Support technician, helping to support internal users on basic IT issues.
Location: Stratford Upon Avon (you MUST be able to drive)
Package: £22k - £25k + excellent benefits (bonus, pension, health etc.) + Working from home!

Overview of the role!

I’m on the search for a 2nd Line Technical Support Engineer/ Junior Systems Administrator who will be spearheading technical support in Stratford Upon Avon.

The ideal candidate would have exposure to 2nd line support, maybe coming from a small team where you’ve had your fingers stuck in many pies; undergoing some server work and project work, being the technical mind alongside your manager or even having less exposure than you would have hoped for and now you’re looking to train up in this regard.

Skills & experience:

  • Networking & Server Skills - DNS / DHCP, Windows Server 2008 / 2012
  • Group policy and Active Directory.
  • Experience of 1st,2ndand3rd line support/or exposure to Server related issues
  • It is advantageous, you have some exposure to Project work on a 2nd line level.
  • Experience with Monitoring tools, Windows 7/10, Office 2010/ 2013/ Office 365.

What’s on offer?

  • Salary: Up to £25K (depending on experience) + a good benefits package once you’ve passed probation.
  • This opportunity will allow you to work from home 2-3 days a week.
  • Some of these benefits, you can choose whether you’d like to 'cash in’ to increase your salary by approx. 8-10%.
  • They are willing to double employee pension contribution up to a maximum of 8%.
  • Private Medical Insurance.
  • There may also be opportunity to grab a bonus of up to 10% of your basic pay.

This is not a desk bound role and you would need to have excellent customer facing skills.
