The 1st Line Support Technician Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st Line Support Technician to join my clients growing technical team. My client are extremely well-established and provide IT support for a loyal client base in and around the Sussex area. This role would suit a 1st Line Technician who has already gained some relevant commercial experience in IT Support, who is now looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an organisation that is growing year on year and has a fantastic, helpful and friendly culture. You will be surrounded by great people. Everyone has a 'can do' attitude, works hard and the company celebrates the successes with regular team activities. The company also provides a staff lunch every Friday to bring everyone together. They have an excellent reputation and a loyal client base which you will be visiting (2-3 days per week) within the Sussex area.

  • Experience of working for another MSP / IT Support Company, with experience of supporting external clients.
  • Customer facing with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of supporting Microsoft infrastructure and operating systems
  • Experience of Active Directory, Group Policy, Permissions
  • Experience of Windows desktop and Microsoft Office administration
  • Knowledge of networking - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  • An understanding of Routers, Firewalls and physical networks
  • Office 365 administration
  • In addition, any Microsoft qualifications, familiarity with remote monitoring tools (Continuum, Labtech, N-able etc.), familiarity with PSA / ticketing system (Connectwise / AutoTask etc.) and knowledge of Servers, Dell hardware, hardware based firewalls would be a welcome bonus!
