iRecruit Specialist are pleased to be recruiting for a growing IT Support business in Maidenhead. My client is looking for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join their enthusiastic team.

The role involves supporting a variety of clients providing exposure to a wide range of technologies.

Duties Include:

  • 1st line helpdesk support
  • Onsite technical support
  • Administration of Windows Server 2012 and above.
  • Awareness of networking
  • Configuration and maintenance of Remote Desktop environments.
  • Providing technical guidance against best practices for clients.

Essential:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, and Active Directory.
  • The ability to manage project work as required, alongside day to day duties.
  • Awareness of networking
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Own transportation, with a current driving license/insurance and permanently reside within a 40 minute drive of the M4 J8/9.

The person:

  • Positive work ethic.
  • Ability to listen carefully whilst demonstrating patience.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • An aptitude for learning.

Ideal to have:

  • Reseller experience.
  • Hosted telephony experience.
  • Experience and adaptability of working within small teams.
