1st Line IT Support Analyst
Central Birmingham
Salary £16,500 - £19,000 depending on experience

*Working for a leading professional service organisation in Birmingham. Due to growth within their IT team they are looking to recruit two 1st Line IT Support Analysts on a Permanent basis to be based in their Central Birmingham Offices

About the 1st Line IT Support Analyst Role:

*You'll be the 1st point of contact for users requiring IT technical support within the business and in some cases clients / external users. This support will be a mix of phone, email and also face to face / in person support.
*Logging support requests, providing 1st line resolution when appropriate or escalating as required. Keeping users up to date with their issues through out the process
*Supporting the Team Leader and IT Manager with administration within the team and department
*Providing training to new starters within the wider business and also refresher training in relation to technology used within the business
*Installing software to PC's and Laptops etc
*Ensuring all new starts IT equipment is ready and working before they start
*Providing support with telephony and mobile systems within the business
*Manage regular equipment inventories

About you as the 1st Line IT Support Analyst:

*You'll have gained previous experience of working within a 1st line IT Support role, helping users to troubleshoot issues with software and hardware
*Confident discussing technical matters with colleagues who may not be particularly technical, using appropriate language to assist them in a friendly and professional manner with out resorting to technical jargon
*Have a good all round knowledge of Windows packages, MS Office, mobile phone and telephony systems
*Having previous experience of working with Active Directory and or Microsoft Exchange would be useful
*Organised and able to manage your own time effectively, able to manage your work load effectively in order of importance to the business
*Looking for a long term opportunity to develop a career in IT with a leading professional service business
