Leeds City Centre, West Yorkshire

Duration: 3 months (initially)

Job Type: Contract

Rate: Upto £120 per day

Shift rota (8am - 4pm, 10am - 6pm, 12pm - 8pm) & 1 in 4 weekends

A large successful retail organisation based in Leeds City Centre are looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst to support the entire company IT infrastructure.

This position is available to analysts with experience of 1st line support in a Microsoft environment with good desktop support skills and basic understanding of Networking.


As an IT Service Desk Technician you provide 1st Line technical support services to customers (internal and external) including installation, troubleshooting, problem resolution and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • * Answer calls made to the service desk and raise corresponding support tickets within the call logging system.
    * Prioritise incidents, assign impact and urgency.
    * Respond and resolve incidents within SLA.
    * Management of open calls and queues to resolve as many calls as possible within SLA.
    * Escalate service impacting incidents to senior team
    * Manage service desk e mails, respond professionally within given time frames

Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for technology
  • Experience of working in a 1st Line Microsoft support environment.
  • Experience of providing support to Desktop PCs, Laptops, Servers, and Networks.
  • Experience of supporting Windows 7, Microsoft Office, XP and Outlook
  • Active Directory
  • Basic Understanding of Networking
  • Exceptional customer service skills with good attention to detail and an excellent telephone manner
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual who possesses excellent problem-solving skills
  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly and be able to work well under pressure
