1st Line Helpdesk Advisor

My client a leading business within the technology field are currently looking to recruit an experienced 1st Line Support Technician to support them with an influx of work. Based in South Manchester with excellent transport links this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for an immediate contract with the potential of permanent opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1st Line Support/Call Logging for both external clients and internal departments

Manage all calls received by phone, email or Web Portal using the in house call logging system

Diagnose initial call to determine if the query/fault is a software or hardware problem

Assign each call to the relevant department if unable to resolve initially

Assume responsibility for delivering a high level of customer service at all times

Ensure all sales enquiries or non-support calls coming through the desk are reported using the correct procedure.

Key Skills

Previous experience within a 1st line support or helpdesk role are essential

Further education within an IT qualification are highly desirable

Have strong analytic and problem resolution skills


Have a task orientated approach to work as well as the ability to work as part of a team and individually

Have the capacity to learn quickly;

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM would be beneficial.
