My client is a leading multi-site retail organisation, and due to internal promotion now have the go ahead to recruit for a Service Desk Analyst within their Information Technology team. This is a really exciting time to join the organisation as they are going through a number of challenging technology roll outs and upgrades, and expanding in to global markets.

As a Service Desk Analyst, you shall provide first line support to internal staff whilst working within agreed SLA's. You shall be the first point of contact for all IT issues, related to the website, stores or the contact centre.

You shall ensure that all issues are logged on to the Service Management software, so that all tickets can be effectively tracked and managed, and you will document and add to the knowledge base to improve first time fixes.

Requests will come to the service desk through different mediums - phone, email or in person, so it is important for candidates to have excellent communication skills, and delivery high levels of customer service at all times.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

* Excellent customer service skills
* Basic active directory knowledge
* Basic MS Exchange
* Basic understanding of networking such as TCP/IP
* Strong knowledge of MS applications and operating systems
* Knowledge of ITIL (nice but not essential)
* Previous experience within a similar role
