1st/ 2nd Line Support Engineer, Warrington/ Home Based, Permanent - £22k-£26k + Bens.

A great opportunity to join a well established MSP as a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer. Working with a wide range of clients primarily across the North West; the client offers an excellent, yet laid back environment where staff are actively encouraged and supported to expand their skill sets. The 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for working with clients (remotely, but on-site when required) to look after all areas across their server/ network support, cloud back up/ security, Office 365 and all other connectivity issues. Finding and fixing issues is essential for the incoming candidate who will have a good understanding of up to date MS and Windows environments. The client is well set for COVID-19 working and offers a flexible approach and hours.

Key responsibilities for the 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to include;

  • Working closely with the clients to provide support
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Work on support issues, using/ prioritising the ticketing system as required
  • Maintain high quality documentation
  • Be able to troubleshoot across a wide range of desktop and server environments

Key skills for the 2nd Line Support Engineer to include;

  • Experience within an MSP/ Outsource/ Service environment
  • Strong 1st/ 2nd line skills
  • Basic networking skills
  • MS exposure including; Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019, Server builds, Active Directory,
  • Windows 10, Office 365, MS365 and SharePoint
  • Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams
  • Internet services - FTTC, leased line
  • Security software/ Firewalls

Any skills in the following are also desirable - ConnectWise PSA, Datto RMM/ backup, ESET anti-virus, Symantec Cloud, MS Azure, Sonicwall, Scripting etc.
