111 Clinical Advisor - Welwyn Garden City

Herts Urgent Care (HUC) is seeking Clinical Advisors to support the day to day delivery of the NHS 111 service. In this role you will

  • Carry out complex clinical triage, providing assessment, advice and information to the patient
  • Utilise your professional judgement in referring callers to other agencies as appropriate
  • Respond to and assist call handlers in the management of critical situations
  • Manage the patient flow ensuring that all targets are met whilst ensuring patient safety

The qualities we are looking for

  • You must be a registered nurse, paramedic or other suitably qualified healthcare professional. (NMC, HCPC etc)
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Have an understanding of the call handling and telephone triage roles
  • Understand operational policies and protocols
  • Is able to commit to working a 24 hour rotating shift pattern including working overnights, weekends and public holidays including Christmas day
  • You should note that should you be successful at interview you will be required to undertake a 6 week full time training course prior to staring the position. This training will of course be paid
