Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Wirral, Merseyside
Contract: long-Term
Salary: £100- £120 per day

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Wirral. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis.

The role involves working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored strategies that meet the individual needs of the pupil. You will be patient, nurturing, and committed to making a positive difference in a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD and SEMH.
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
  • Support the pupil's learning, social development, and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school staff.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Be calm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
