Castles Education are working in partnership with a primary school in Droylsden who currently have a requirement for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 4 pupil who is undergoing an assessment for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
This school is a large two form entry school who have over 480 pupils on roll. The facilities at the school, including allotments, chickens and ducks, as well as an outdoor gym, offer the pupils a varied curriculum.The school was judged to be a 'Good' school by Ofsted in 2014.
The pupil is being assessed for ASC and ADHD and presents some non-physical challenging behaviours. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have -
* solid experience working within an educational setting
* experience working with children under the age of 11 years
* SEN experience - specifically Autism and/or SEMH
* the ability to adapt to different year groups in KS1 and KS2
* strong behaviour management skills - Team-Teach is preferable
The position is to last until the end of the Summer term with a review at May half term so you must be able to commit to a long term position and be available immediately.
