Day-to-Day of the 1:1 Teacher Assistant Role:

• Provide tailored support to individual students, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.
• Work closely with teachers to implement effective strategies that address the specific learning and behavioural needs of students.
• Assist in the development and delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs) that foster academic and personal growth.
• Offer emotional and social support to students, encouraging a positive and proactive approach to learning and interaction.
• Maintain regular communication with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency in support and care.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a 1:1 Teacher Assistant or in a similar role supporting children with special educational needs.
• A strong desire to make a significant difference in the lives of students with SEN.
• Must possess a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated team.
• Confidence and commitment to go above and beyond in supporting the educational and personal development of students.
