An experienced General Income Recovery Officer is required to join the Recovery Team to providea full collection and debt recovery service on a range of debts across the Council. This is for a 1 year FTC to start asap.
Key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Pro-active recovery on a variety of debts including domiciliary care debts,
Nightly Paid accommodation charges and Trade Waste debts and ensuring all
debts are progressed through the recovery cycle promptly.
Dealing with correspondence and pro-active telephone calls regarding the
payment and recovery of debts including taking payments through Paye.net.
Make referrals to the Debt collector and/or tracing agency.
Making recommendations for County Court Claims.
Preparation of proposals for recovery action for submission to our Client in
respect of debts for potentially vulnerable debtors.
Making recommendations for write offs.
To ensure that all work processed complies with SLAs, regulatory and audit
Applying cash receipts to debtors accounts.
Reconciling refunds and rejected payments.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
A good level of experience of Oracle especially Accounts Receivable and
Accounts Payable, Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
Can communicate clearly through correspondence and dealings on the

Able to produce high quality and accurate documentation.
