1-1 EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant - Hornchurch

We are actively seeking a patient and understanding 1-1 EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant to work with a student age 5, with special needs in the Hornchurch area. This role requires someone that has knowledge and understanding of complex needs including ASDand Epilepsy.

As a 1-1 EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant you must have experience working with Autism and Epilepsy and an ability to notice and manage triggers.

Experience working with the Early Years curriculum is ideal but not essential.

Manage challenging behaviour effectively, training on team teach and/or de-escalation techniques could be an advantage.

Experience of working with an EHC plan and you will be using this to set a work plan for the student is tailored to cater for their needs.

Paediatric First Aid training is desired but not essential.

Due to this 1-1 EYFS SEND Teaching Assistant positions nature having experience with complex needs is ideal.

Requires someone who is persistent, calm and adaptable within their role, using various strategies to ensure progress within their learning is achieved.

This position is part time to start ASAP Mon-Thurs (9:00am-1:00pm)

This position is subject to vetting and safeguarding procedures including an interview and a full clear and enhanced DBS.
