Very pleased to report that many of the 70,000 trees we planted two winters ago are now taller than me.
This has been a revelation to me. Maybe the drought last summer made the trees tougher but for sure the rain this summer has made them grow, grow, grow. The alders, oaks and silver birch have been doing especially well.
Witnessing this just makes me want to plant more… Seeing the trees grow with such energy and enthusiasm is a joy to behold. And just think of all that carbon extracted from the atmosphere!
