About the competition

James Reed

At reed.co.uk, helping people to find meaningful work and achieve happiness in their careers is at the core of everything we do.

As the UK's biggest job site, we realised that reed.co.uk offers the perfect platform for creative work to be seen and shared, and so, the idea to run a film competition was born. Throughout it’s six successful years, the reed.co.uk Short Film Competition has been recognised as the biggest shorts competition in the UK.

Our support for short film has always been focused on giving talented, creative individuals an opportunity to share their work. I'm delighted that we have had the opportunity to act as a springboard for the talented, hardworking filmmakers who made the competition what it was.

I'm extremely proud of our association with short film and the successes that our finalists have gone on to achieve. I’d like to thank everyone for their support and participation over the past six years, and wish all the filmmakers involved the very best of luck with their future careers.
