Course Structure
The Level 3 AET consists of three core units, each focusing on a critical aspect of teaching and training:

• Unit 1: Understanding Roles, Responsibilities, and Relationships in Education and Training
  This unit explores the key duties of a teacher, including legal and professional requirements, maintaining boundaries, and fostering positive relationships with learners.
• Unit 2: Understanding and Using Inclusive Teaching and Learning Approaches in Education and Training
  Here, learners will examine different teaching methods, how to adapt sessions for diverse learners, and ways to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Unit 3: Understanding Assessment in Education and Training
  This unit covers various assessment methods, the importance of feedback, and how to ensure assessments are fair, valid, and reliable.

Flexible Learning Options
To accommodate different learning preferences, the course is available in three formats:

Online / Distance Learning – Study at your own pace with full access to course materials via our student portal. Tutor support is available throughout, and you can complete the course in as little as a few weeks (up to 4 months maximum).

Classroom-Based Learning – Attend in-person sessions over three days (10 am–5 pm), with additional time to complete coursework.

Live Zoom Classes – Participate in real-time interactive sessions from the comfort of your home, with the same structured support as classroom learners.

Assessment Method
There are no formal exams—assessment is based on a portfolio of coursework, including written assignments and a micro-teach session. For the micro-teach, candidates will prepare and deliver a 15–30 minute lesson, which can be recorded and submitted for evaluation. Once completed, portfolios are assessed within 7–10 days, and successful candidates receive their OFQUAL-regulated certificate.
