Viola asked:

Hi am interested in the course but was wondering if we get any form of certification at the end?

Answer:

Hi Viola, yes, each delegate who attends the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance, valid for 3 years and equivalent to 7 CPD Hours and 5 Participatory Hours. You will receive all relevant documentation, including a Competency Document for completing the practical element of the session and for completing the live assessments following the course. I hope this helps.

Rina asked:

Hi, I have no experience in health care, however for a very long time I have wanted to train as a Phlebotomist, is this the right course?

Answer:

Hi Rina, although this course does not guarantee you to obtain a job as a Phlebotomist, it is a very good starting point. This course is suitable for people of all levels, from complete beginners to advanced as this session covers all theory knowledge required, a practical element and a simulated competency practice observed by our Tutor. This course does not make you fully competent within the procedure and Live assessments are required following the course to gain this.

Jackie asked:

Am interested in the course not working in that field but would like too. Is this course still good for me...

REBECCA asked:

Do you need to be assigned a mentor through work and do you need to do set hours in clinics to keep qualification valid?

Answer:

Hi Rebecca, Many thanks for your question. When you return to the work place following the Venepuncture course, you will have to undergo further competency assessments in a live envrionment, under the supervision of an already competent person. This could be a work colleague, a district nurse or a GP for example. We recommend that these assessments are completed no later than 6 months after completing the course with us. The certificate of attendance issued is valid for 3 years.
