This section focuses on awareness and understanding rather than diagnosis or treatment delivery.
Urological diagnostic techniques introduce awareness of patient history taking, physical examination principles, imaging methods, urodynamic testing, and laboratory investigations used in urology.
Urological treatment modalities explore medical management, surgical approaches, minimally invasive procedures, radiation therapy, and rehabilitation and supportive care, presented at an educational and non-clinical level.
Patient care and communication focus on patient-centred care principles, effective communication strategies, and cultural competence and sensitivity when working with urology patients.
Ethics and legal aspects examine ethical issues in urology, informed consent, patient rights, and legal responsibilities and documentation requirements within healthcare settings.
The course concludes with a final assessment to evaluate understanding of urology awareness, ethical practice, and patient-focused care principles.
