Description
Day 1
By the end of this day you will be able to:
- Demonstrate how to run and develop a profitable private client department
- Identify the profile, demographics and professional conduct issues relevant to Private clients.
- Understand the basic principles of capital taxation
- Recognise the issues of mental capacity both in practice and in the context of the Mental Capacity Act to include LPA.s, Deputyship, Statutory Wills and Advance Directives
Day 2
By the end of this day you will be able to:
- Draft a valid will
- Demonstrate tax planning within wills
Day 3
By the end of this day you will be able to:
- Describe the process of probate and the administration of estates to include claims against the estate, the use and constitution of trusts and post death variations of wills.
- Understand funding of Care Costs and the implications for the family home
