This TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) qualification is aimed towards Teaching Assistant wishing to move onto becoming a Higher Level Teaching Assistant as a way of career progression. The role of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is to not only support the classroom teacher on a daily basis but to also run classes on a temporary basis should a teacher be away from the class for whatever reason.
This qualification is for those already working as a Teaching Assistant or for Teaching Assistants that have completed either the Award or Certificate and wish to enhance their careers further.

Course Overview
To gain the full TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) qualification (HLTA Qualification) Teaching assistant course you will need to pass all the assignments along with observations within the classroom setting. Upon completion of the course you will be able to work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor in primary or secondary schools.
There are no formal examinations on this course and the work is assessment based. Full tutor support is also provided along with a personal tutor whom will guide you through lessons and online materials as well as answer any questions or queries you may have.
Upon completion you will be fully qualified as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, recognised by both Ofqual and Ofstead giving you plenty of opportunity.

You will have a personal Tutor throughout your study with us here at the college to guide you and support you through out.

Assessments
To pass this course learners must pass all set assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Once these have been read and marked by your personal tutor, feedback and marks are provided to students which contain helpful tips to improve work in future assignments. Who is this course for?
The TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) to develop the knowledge and competence of learning support staff whose working role is in specialist area and/or across a varied range of responsibilities. You will be working under the direction of a teacher who has overall responsibility for teaching and learning in the classroom. They will contribute to planning, implementing and evaluating learning activities and will work alongside the teacher to support whole class activities, as well as working on their own with individual, or groups of, pupils. Job titles may include teaching assistant, classroom assistant, learning support assistant; additional needs assistant; pastoral/welfare support assistant; bilingual support assistant; foundation stage assistant; learning guide; learning coach; induction mentor; team leader.
The TQUK Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (RQF) can be used as the combined knowledge and competence component of the advanced level Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
