This SolidWorks Fundamentals Level 3 course consists of four structured lectures, followed by an assessment, each designed to strengthen understanding of advanced Solidworks tools and design workflows.
Lecture 1 focuses on advanced part modelling, introducing complex surface modelling, loft and sweep features, multibody part design, and advanced fillet and chamfer techniques. Learners develop understanding of how Solidworks supports complex geometry creation and design refinement.
Lecture 2 explores assembly design, covering advanced assembly techniques, top-down assembly workflows, large assembly management, and interference detection. This lecture explains how Solidworks enables efficient assembly organisation, component relationships, and design validation.
Lecture 3 introduces simulation and analysis concepts within Solidworks. Learners explore finite element analysis basics, static and dynamic analysis, stress analysis, and thermal analysis awareness. These topics build understanding of how Solidworks supports design evaluation and informed decision-making without providing engineering certification.
Lecture 4 covers advanced Solidworks topics, including weldments, sheet metal design, advanced drawing and detailing, design tables, configurations, and basic macros and automation. This lecture highlights productivity tools and advanced features used in professional Solidworks environments.
Assessment includes a final exam to evaluate understanding of Solidworks fundamentals and advanced concepts.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the SolidWorks Fundamentals Level 3 course, learners will receive a free digital certificate provided by Reed confirming their achievement and skill mastery. After obtaining the Reed certificate, learners will also receive a provider-issued course completion certificate, subject to verification of the Reed certificate. Learners may additionally choose to order a premium certificate and academic transcript, available in both hardcopy and softcopy formats, based on individual needs and for an additional cost. This course supports academic progression, professional development, and enhanced understanding of Solidworks-related skills.
This Solidworks course is suitable for learners interested in 3D design, CAD modelling, product development, or engineering support roles. It is ideal for students, junior designers, CAD technicians, manufacturing support staff, or individuals seeking to strengthen their Solidworks knowledge before progressing to advanced study.
No formal qualifications or prior experience are required to enrol on this Solidworks course. Learners should have a basic to good standard of English, access to the internet, and a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Commitment to completing the assessment is required to successfully finish the Solidworks course.
This Solidworks course can support progression into CAD support roles, design assistance, technical drawing support, product development support, or further academic study related to design and engineering technologies.
