Overview
This training is designed to help transfer your existing auditing skills from other management systems to those needed for audits of Social Management Systems (SMETA). If you have already completed a Lead Auditor Course in another discipline then the Social Systems Auditor Conversion Training will broaden your skills and knowledge base to understand and audit to SMS criteria. The principles of SMETA/Sedex set out management system that you can examine and control an organization’s occupational health risks and vulnerabilities. This course is designed for those who have already passed a Lead Auditor course.

Description
This course is certificated by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA). CQI and IRCA Course Number 17281 - PR 346.
This course consists of 7 VILT sessions and the final examination.
On completion of the training you will be able to:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the SMS audit and certification process
- Have the skills and knowledge needed to conduct third party audits against the requirements of the SMETA / Sedex
Who is this course for?
This course provides an opportunity for Social Systems Management professionals to update their skills in interactive and supportive surroundings.
Case study materials and role-play exercises are used to develop and practice skills in all phases of auditing. Participants are continually assessed and required to complete a an end-of-course written examination.
Requirements
This course is designed for experienced management systems auditors who seek an understanding of the additional knowledge and skills required to audit social systems.
All delegates must have:
- successfully completed an IRCA certified (or equivalent) 5-day Lead Auditor training course in another discipline (QMS, EMS, OH&S etc);
- a basic understanding of relevant key labour / social issues and legislation (this may be specific to their industry context and location).
