Overview

Any business conducting guarding activity to secure a building or site may need trained security staff qualified as security officers who hold an SIA licence.

From 31st January 2025, this Refresher Course will become mandatory for all security officers wishing to renew their SIA licences. It is also required for those looking to downgrade their licence from a Door Supervisor to a Security Officer. Make sure you meet the new regulations by completing this course before your licence renewal.

Requirements

  • Learners must be 18+ years old.
  • Must hold a valid SIA Security or Door Supervisor licence.
  • A current first aid qualification is required. Learners must provide a valid first aid certificate, such as Emergency First Aid at Work, valid for at least 12 months from the start date.
