Description
The programme is suitable for people working with children or young people whose development is affected adversely by difficulties in learning or by behaviour. The course is suitable for teachers from a primary, secondary or special school, or lecturers from a further education or higher education setting. Also if you are a social worker or police officer, or if you work with young offenders or other caring professions. The programme covers the key issues related to special educational needs, and will develop your professional awareness of this area. You will experience a course that caters for both academic and practitioner driven interest in special educational needs.

Requirements:
A good Honours degree is preferred but experience is greatly valued. Applicants require a current enhanced DBS check or its EU equivalent. If English is not your native language you should be able to demonstrate a level of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (minimum score of 5.5 in each band).
Assessment Methods:
Modules are normally assessed by a written assignment of 5,000 words.
