Day 1 (5 hours)

You will be covering following modules on Day 1:

1- SAGE Opening Balance
• Opening Trail Balance, and
• Opening Balances for Customers & Suppliers, How to write off the Balances in Suspense Account.

2- Fixed Asset Register
• How to create Fixed Asset Register in Excel and in SAGE 50 Accounts.
• How to post monthly Depreciation for each class of Asset.

3- Disposal of Asset
• How to account for Disposal of Asset (double entries) and calculate gain/loss in the SAGE.

Day 2 (5 hours)

1- Bad debts
• How to account for Bad Debts in SAGE 50 Accounts
• Write off Customer/Supplier Balances (double entries)
• How to create Provision for Bad debts.

2- Accruals & Prepayments Journals
• Wages journal
• Advance Rent & Utilities journal
• Utilities journal

3- Credit Control
• Aged Debtor & Creditor analysis, How to chase the outstanding Invoices.

Day 3 (5 hours)

1- SAGE Foreign Trader module
• Overview of Foreign Transaction UK GAAP.
• Difference in Monetary & Non-monetary Assets.
• How to create Foreign Bank Account and adjust Chart of Accounts for changes.
• How to create foreign Customer and raise customer invoice.
• How to account for foreign receipts and reconcile foreign bank.
• How to account for changes in Exchange Rates and show changes in SAGE 50 Accounts.
• How to revalue the Monetary Assets & Non- Monetary Assets at the month end.

2- SAGE CIS module
• How to add subcontractors and verify them with different CIS deduction rates (20%, 30% & gross status).
• How to run monthly CIS process in Sage 50 Accounts.
• How to submit CIS return from SAGE 50 Accounts.
• CIS Amount transfer from CIS control Account to CIS Liability Account.

3- Importing Data from Excel into SAGE 50 Accounts
• Audit Trail Transactions
