- Unit 1 - Introduction to safeguarding vulnerable adults - In the first unit of our Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 3 course you will know what is meant by safeguarding and the importance of safeguarding training for those who work with vulnerable adults. You will also explore key principles of safeguarding and know how safeguarding applies.
- Unit 2 - Safeguarding and the law - Next you will consider the legislation and policy that are in place to ensure individuals who are considered vulnerable are protected. You will also understand how legislation and procedures are applied by studying the jargon and key terms. You will also consider the roles and responsibilities of people who work with vulnerable adults.
- Unit 3 - Types of abuse and how they are identified - In this unit you will examine the kinds of abuse that individuals may experience and what the abuse may involve and how the signs are identified. You will also explore what short and long term impacts of abuse may have on an individual.
- Unit 4 - Safeguarding structure- In this unit of our Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 3 course will give you an overview of safeguarding by giving information about the main agencies involved in safeguarding and what their roles and responsibilities are.
- Unit 5 - Responding to concerns - In this unit you will examine the basic procedures that need to be carried out if a member of staff has initial concerns about an individuals safety. You will also consider what to do when an adult verbally alleges abuse and also take into account why individuals may not disclose abuse.
- Unit 6 - Reporting concerns - In this unit you will learn how concerns should be reported when a member of staff has concerns or received allegations about existing abuse or abuse that is likely to take place, you will also take into consideration how reports should be made when professionals are suspected of involvement in abuse.
- Unit 7 - Recording abuse - You will be looking at in this unit how to record concerns and the kinds of information that a recorded concern should include. You will also study the body map where physical abuse can be identified and how recorded allegations should be written.
- Unit 8 - Post referral - In this last unit of our Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Level 3 course you will examine what happens once a safeguarding referral has taken place and how it identifies that individual at risk.
