Description
Safeguarding is EVERYBODY’s business. It is an umbrella term that describes how we promote the welfare of children and keep them safe. Every child has the right to live a life free from abuse harm and neglect, and we all have a part to play in protecting them now and in the future.
The importance of safeguarding children cannot be over emphasised. All organisations with staff who have contact with children, young people and families have a duty of care to keep them safe.
This includes staff being able to recognise signs, symptoms and behavioural indicators of abuse, know how to respond to concerns and work with other agencies. Without training, staff will not be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to keep children safe from abuse harm and neglect.
This course is for all staff and volunteers who come into contact with children and families. Everyone has a responsibility to protect, safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children, and safeguarding should always be at the forefront of the organisation.
This course covers the requirements listed in the National Safeguarding Training, Learning and Development Standards - Group B.
Online assessment included.
