Diploma in Pumps and Motors - Level 4

Get on board this Diploma in Pumps and Motors – Level 4 to learn all about pumps and motors. This course will extensively educate you on pumps and motors to incorporate it effectively in water infrastructure, mechanical engineering, construction or any other areas of work. All you need to enroll in this course is a recognised qualification at level 3 or above in a related disciple to reap the benefits from this course and to exude expertise in implementing pumps and motors.

This in-depth course will enlighten you on the operation of a pumping system, followed by modules that will help you understand the basic types of pumps, pump performance and curves and the specifications of pumps and motors. You will also get to learn the hydraulic aspects of pumps and their role in constructing and producing various items in the modern world from kitchen dishwashers to automobiles.

Moving on, this course will explore the various types of motors and the importance of motors in a hydraulic technology. This course will further discuss about submersible pumps, coupling, backflow and many more topics that are crucial for a solid knowledge on incorporating pumps and motors. By the end of this course, you will walk away with a significant knowledge on pumps and motors to impress employers with your skills.

Diploma in Hydraulic Principles - Level 4

Hydraulic technology is a widely used technology that uses chemistry, engineering, applied science and other sciences to manufacture products and processes. It is used in many aspects of life from producing kitchen dishwashers, to mechanical engineering, which is why it is vital to be well versed with the hydraulic principles to have a successful career in mechanical engineering, construction, automotive and aerospace engineering. This Diploma in Hydraulic Principles – Level 4 has been developed exactly for this purpose and will get you upto speed with hydraulic principles in no time.

This course will give you insights into the Archimedes theory and the hydraulic principles to brief you on how the hydraulic technology works. You will get to learn about topics such as atmospheric pressure, geometric arguments, vacuum and hydrostatic paradox, after which this course will explore backflows and actual backflows to understand why it happens. This course is also focused on enlightening you about the NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) and how to calculate it for a piping system.

A pump is the heart of a hydraulic system that converts mechanical energy to hydraulic energy. Therefore, this course has dedicated a few modules that will tutor you on the pump operation, various types of pumps and pump performance and curves. This course will also provide you with the opportunity to understand about devices such as coupling and mechanical seals that are essential in a hydraulic technology.

The course has been endorsed under the ABC Awards and Certa Awards Quality Licence Scheme. This means that Global Edulink* has undergone an external quality check to ensure that the organisation and the courses it offers, meet defined quality criteria. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification* but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 2 against level descriptors published by Ofqual, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

The course itself has been designed by Global Edulink* to meet specific learners’ and/or employers’ requirements which cannot be satisfied through current regulated qualifications. ABC Awards & Certa Awards endorsement involves robust and rigorous quality audits by external auditors to ensure quality is continually met. A review of courses is carried out as part of the endorsement process.
