Overview

Developed through years of psychometric research, the Emergenetics Profile uniquely measures how people think and behave. With this knowledge, individuals and teams can develop strategies to improve communication, productivity and performance.

Guided by an experienced Emergenetics Associate and a scientifically robust model, this is a great opportunity to gain greater self-awareness and understanding of your strengths and innate preferences.

With this learning and knowledge of cognitive diversity, you will be able to communicate and collaborate more effectively, lead and engage people more successfully, develop your relationships and enhance your performance at work.

A one-to-one coaching session will enable you to get the most out of your Emergenetics Profile and provide you with the tools available to help you apply your learning day-to-day going forward.

Each Profile also includes full access to the Emergenetics+ mobile app, which extends the Profile experience into an interactive digital environment. The app enables you to connect with others and compare Profiles for real-time interaction tips unique to you and your connections. It also includes a wealth of practical tools and communication advice to use in various situations, such as giving feedback, leading a remote team and managing stress.

What does the Emergenetics Profile measure?

Emergenetics accurately measures three behavioural attributes:

  • Expressiveness: Ranging from quiet and reserved to outgoing and gregarious
  • Assertiveness: Ranging from peacekeeping and accepting to competitive and driven
  • Flexibility: Ranging from focused and firm to accommodating of change

and four thinking attributes:

  • Analytical: An interest in logic, data and understanding the reasoning behind things
  • Structural: An interest in process and following rules and guidelines
  • Social: An interest in people and relationships
  • Conceptual: An interest in the big-picture, visioning and new ideas

The attributes are represented in a clear, colour-coded report, making it memorable and immediately applicable. Please see the pdf in the resources section below for an example of an Emergenetics Profile.

Why use the Emergenetics Profile over other Profiling tools?

Developed from a foundation of psychology, social analytics and brain science, the Emergenetics Profile:

  • Measures both thinking and behavioural preferences separately and distinctively
  • Is scientifically robust and meets professional standards for psychometric testing for both validity and reliability
  • Is easy to read, interpret and remember
  • Includes an innovative mobile app that acts a personal coach in your pocket
  • Celebrates individual nuances, nobody is boxed in
  • Creates a positive, strengths-based language
  • Is easy to integrate and apply in day-to-day life and work

Description

What's included and how does it work?

  1. A short conversation with a certified Emergenetics Associate to identify what you are looking to get out of the Profile and coaching session. This will help them to tailor the session and understand the context in which you hope to apply your learning to (e.g. managing a team, searching for a new job, improving your self-awareness, communicating more effectively etc).

  2. You will then complete the short online questionnaire, which takes about 15 minutes. The Emergenetics questionnaire is a self-descriptive test, meaning you choose the answers that best describe you - there are no right or wrong answers.

  3. A live virtual coaching debrief with a certified Emergenetics Associate. This session will last approximately 60 minutes, during which the Associate will:
    • explain the Emergenetics model and the science behind it
    • share and guide you through your personal Profile
    • discuss how you might apply this knowledge in your day-to-day life
    • answer any questions you might have
    • direct you to further useful resources and tips to get the most out of your Emergenetics Profile

  4. You will then receive a printed copy of your Emergenetics Profile in the post and gain access to the mobile app. The app extends the Profile experience into an interactive environment and enables you to connect with others, compare Profiles and access practical communication advice and tips tailored uniquely to you and your connections.
