Hello there! I'm Chris Arning, I'm Founder and Director of Creative Semiotics Ltd. and I'm the semiotics expert, consultant and course tutor behind How To Do Semiotics in Seven Weeks.

 

How To Do Semiotics in Seven Weeks is a well thought through, interactive course, which takes you from beginner or elementary level through to basic proficiency in doing semiotics in less than two months.

 

This is a unique course distilled from 20 years of experience of reading and writing about, and most critically - practising semiotics.

My expertise is based on pure hard work. 

 

I've clocked up over 40,000 hours (that’s right, that's 4 x Malcolm Gladwells!) in reading, writing about, teaching & ‘doing’ brand semiotics.

I know my theory, because I live and breathe it daily, and I've taught semiotics at UK universities, but most importantly for you I also practise semiotics via Creative Semiotics Ltd., my global boutique semiotic consultancy, so I’m constantly working with clients and honing my skills. The course is both robust and engaging and all the thinking is grounded in the fundamentals of academic semiotics made actionable for a non-academic audience.

 

Each week is replete with examples taken both from the branding world and case studies selected from Chris’s extensive consultancy background.
