The Level 3 AET Course helps you learn how to teach effectively. This course, which has replaced the level 3 PTLLS course, focuses on building your teaching skills.

What You'll Learn
This Level 3 AET Course will teach you how to:

• Understand the basic rules of teaching and learning.
• Figure out what your students need and where they come from.
• Create lesson plans and course outlines.
• Plan, deliver, and review lessons while keeping equal opportunities and safety in mind.
• Come up with creative ways to plan your lessons using different methods.
• Design and use various teaching materials, including those made with technology.
• Communicate well when you're teaching.
• Assess your own students effectively.
• Improve your core teaching skills.

Course Details
The Level 3 AET Course (which used to be called the level 3 PTLLS course) is a credit-based qualification with 12 credits and 48 guided learning hours. It's a Level 3 qualification.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll study:

• Unit 1: Understanding Your Roles, Responsibilities, and Relationships in Education and Training.
• Unit 2: Learning how to use teaching approaches that include everyone in education and training.
• Unit 3: Understanding how to assess students in education and training.

How You Can Study
You can take the Level 3 AET Course in a few ways:

Online / Distance Learning
You can study online through our learning platform with full tutor support. You can access all course materials from anywhere using your student portal. You'll also complete a "Micro-Teach," which is a short 15-30 minute teaching session you deliver to others (you can record this at home and send it to us for assessment).

You can complete the course at your own speed with your tutor's help. Once you sign up, you'll get access to the student portal and have up to 4 months to finish. If you complete it sooner and meet all the requirements, you'll get your certificate early!

Face-to-Face or Live Zoom Classroom
If you prefer, you can attend a 3-day in-person or live Zoom class from 10 am to 5 pm. These sessions happen every week. After the classroom session, you'll have 3 weeks to complete your coursework. You'll also receive support from a qualified tutor during this time if you need it.

How You're Assessed
There are no exams for the Level 3 AET Course. Instead, you'll put together a portfolio of your work and submit it by email or post to our main office. Your portfolio will be marked within 7-10 days, and then you'll receive your results and certificate.

The Level 3 AET Course (which used to be known as the level 3 PTLLS course) is a very useful qualification for many different types of industries. It's especially good for anyone who needs an official teaching qualification to become an approved trainer or tutor.

With this Level 3 AET Course, you'll be able to teach adults in a wide range of fields. This course is perfect if you already work, or want to work, as a teacher, trainer, or tutor in places like:

Documents required from you: In order to do Level 3 Award in Education and Training AET course you are required to submit copy of photo ID such as such as passport, driving licence or government issued photo ID after enrolment.
