Overview
An intensive, OUTDOOR, hands-on, 2-hr daylight session with fashion and advertising photographer Andreani (over 25 years' experience). The Intermediate Digital Photography workshop is designed to follow on from our Beginners' Digital Photography Workshop, or for amateur photographers who already have a good grasp of the main camera controls and their use.
Description
Like all PhotoSchool Workshops, the Intermediate Workshop is designed to present the essential techniques that amateur photographers need to master their cameras in a way that anyone who's interested in photography can follow.
Based in Greenwich, London, the Intermediate Workshop covers:
- depth of field
- white balance
- overriding auto exposure
- perspective revisited / zooms v fixed focals
You may purchase a place at the Intermediate workshop as a stand alone session, or in conjunction with a place at the Beginners' or After Dark Workshops.
All students receive free workshop notes and free lifetime access to the students' network, where they can share and comment on each other's work, participate in webchat or ask for help and advice from Andreani. It's like having your own dedicated photography helpline!
All students also get reduced prices to attend any of the regular London Photowalks we hold.
Greenwich Photography Workshops
These workshops normally run year round on selected weekdays and weekends, normally either 10am-12pm / 12pm-2pm / 1pm-2pm, 1.30pm - 3.30pm, 2pm - 4pm, depending on the actual date and workshop scheduled. We meet for the workshops in Crescent St SE10 (off Creek Rd), opposite the entrance to the Cutty Sark DLR Station, Greenwich.
Who is this course for?
Whilst it's not a requirement to have attended the PhotoSchool Beginners' Digital Workshop, participants should be comfortable and familiar with controlling the main camera functions in Aperture Priority exposure mode, for example, controlling the camera shutter speed IN APERTURE PRIORITY mode (no, that's not a typo, I DO mean controlling SHUTTER SPEED in APERTURE priority!) and also understanding and being able to manually select ISO, and setting the AutoFocus point/area.
If you're unsure about anything in the last paragraph, you should do the Beginners' Workshop before attending the Intermediate workshop.
Requirements
Participants should own Digital SLR or mirrorless digital cameras. Some models of Bridge or Advanced compact cameras MAY be suitable for use at the workshop - due to the vast number of different models available it's impossible for us to publish a comprehensive list. If you're not certain whether your camera is suitable for use on the workshop, contact us with the details and we'll let you know whether you can use it or not.
Digital SLR cameras are available to hire at the workshops, for an extra charge of £30 per DSLR hired (bookable and payable in advance).
