The focus here is on improving the organisational skills needed in changing times, particularly when asked to manage small projects like events, conferences, office moves, web site changes, etc It is a lively course which gives plenty of opportunities for delegates to apply course content to their work.

(Discussions on What is a project? and Why projects fail?)
10:30 - 11:00 Starting up a project
(Step by step approach to starting up a small project)
11:00 - 11:15 Coffee break
11:15 - 12:00 Prioritising a project & key documents
(Opportunity for delegates to use a powerful prioritisation tool on their own topic).
12:00 - 12:30 Using Gantt charts
(Delegates draw a Gantt chart for an Office Relocation project)
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch break
13:30 - 14:00 Team exercise
(A fun activity which explores two important principles about running small projects)
14:00 -14:30 Time management questionnaire
(Delegates explore how they are currently using time using a questionnaire)
14:30 - 15:00 Minimising lost time
(Delegates identify who/what is “stealing” their time at work and receive ideas on how to stop it)
15.00 - 15:15 Tea
15:15 - 16:00 Making decisions
(Delegates use a Decision Making Matrix to determine the best option from a choice of three venues for an event).

(Opportunity to relate course content to actual issues at work)
