This NVQ will be assessed on site whilst you are working, that way you do not have to take time out of work and lose money

This Level 2 NVQ is designed to assess occupational competence in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and experience in the construction site for the chosen path.

This course is ideal for operatives who are working in the construction industry as a Joiner or Carpenter, you must have experience and would like to earn while they gain a qualification. The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace.

This Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in Wood Occupations to demonstrate their competence. The course provides a specialist work related programme of training covering key knowledge and practical skills required within the sector.

The Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) Areas of study will include:

Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace

Conforming to productive working practices in the workplace

Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace

Marking out from setting out details for routine architectural joinery products in the workplace

Manufacturing routine architectural joinery products in the workplace

The Pearson Edexcel Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) is designed for anyone who is working in Wood Occupations. It provides all the basic training you need to progress your work in the industry and give you a recognised qualification.

The awarding organisation for this qualification is Pearson Edexcel Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

This qualification has been accredited onto the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

The duration of an NVQ Assessment will be agreed during your Initial assessment & Induction.

We will visit you on site to observe you and gain to evidence required, a portfolio of evidence will be collected.

However, we would expect your NVQ qualification to be complete within 3 to 6 months.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
However, the potential learner must be able to demonstrate that they can meet the skills, knowledge and experience requirements of the NVQ. You must be working in the industry.

- Once you achieved this qualification you can progress to a Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Wood Occupations (Construction) or Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision if you are supervising others

- You will also be able to apply for a blue CSCS card once complete
