The importance of scene cleaning and post-accident hygiene is also covered.
Module 03: Loss of Responsiveness and CPR
In Module Three, we look at the way CPR can be applied to two sets of distinctive age groups, that of children and infants. The module shows how to check for responsiveness and breathing difficulties in patients, and exactly what methods should be applied in each situation. We also examine the uses of an AED and what role it can play in the resuscitation of a child.
Module 04: Paediatric First Aid for Common Illnesses, Injuries and Incidents
In Module Four, we run through the symptoms, causes and treatments of the most common ailments that can affect a child. The module also looks at rarer incidents such as Frostbite and Heatstroke, and exactly what you should do to relieve the child’s condition.
