- Explain the sequence of the 4 Bs.

- Explain how to perform CPR and the recovery position.
- Develop confidence in treating minor and major bleeds.
- Identify different types of choking and practical advice on responding to incidents.

- List some of the life-threatening conditions that can result from respiratory distress.
- List the correct sequence of 4 Bs.
- Identify when to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Demonstrate CPR using an infant and a child manikin.
- Justify when to place an infant or a child into the recovery position.
- Demonstrate how to place an infant and a child into the recovery position.
- Identify when a child or infant is choking.
- Know how to administer first aid to an infant and a child who is choking.
- Identify how to administer first aid for an infant or a child who is suspected to be suffering from diabetes, asthma or allergic reaction.
- Recognise suspected anaphylaxis in an infant or a child.
- Demonstrate the use of a training device adrenaline autoinjector.
- Demonstrate how to administer first aid to an infant or a child with external bleeding.
