Description

The OTHM Level 7 diplomas on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) are at the same level as master’s degrees. However, they are shorter (120 credits) and learners will have to proceed to the dissertation stage (60 credits) with university to achieve a full masters programme.

Qualification Structure

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Artificial Intelligence consists of 6 mandatory units, 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 600 hours.

All units are mandatory.

  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (20 credits)
  • Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability (20 credits)
  • Ethics, Fairness and Explanation in Artificial Intelligence (20 credits)
  • Deep Learning (20 credits)
  • Intelligent Agents (20 credits)
  • Research Methods (20 credits)

Duration and Delivery

The qualification is designed to be delivered over one academic year for full-time study, but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning.

The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online by approved centres only.

Assessment and Verification

All units within this qualification are assessed and internally quality assured by Westmoor College and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria.

Requirements

Aged 21 and above with at least one of the following:

  • Relevant Level 6 qualification. Normally an Honours degree (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
  • Demonstration of relevant professional experience. At least 3 years.

And, must have an:

  • Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Ability to program in Python.
  • Understanding of two or more of the following mathematical and scientific Python libraries: 'numpy', 'pandas', 'scipy', and 'matplotlib'.
  • Access to a stable internet connection.

English Requirements : Westmoor College will assess the level of English language proficiency if it is not your native language
