Description

Many modern, mass-produced haircare products use chemicals that have allergen, irritant and even cariogenic properties. The only way to know exactly what is going into the products you use is to make your own or to purchase certified organic alternatives. The Organic Haircare Business Course provides the opportunity to learn all you need to safely formulate effective, organic haircare products.

The course begins by exploring the anatomy and physiology of hair and the scalp's influence upon it. We’ll look at haircare throughout history, modern haircare and why some ingredients have become a cause for concern.

We’ll explore the different hair types, commonly used hair typing systems, and how to work out your own hair type – so you may understand how haircare is formulated to be effective for specific hair types. From there, we consider the fantastic ingredients used in organic haircare formulations and the methods used to safely prepare effective products.

The course outlines the specifics about various hair conditions and types and how organic haircare products can be formulated for each. Normal hair, dry hair and scalps, greasy hair, waves and curls, Asian and Indian hair, and African-Caribbean hair are all covered.

The Organic Haircare Business Diploma Course concludes with a look at the process of having products certified as organic and how to sell them legally – having gone through the necessary tests, certifications and procedures.

By studying this course, you will:

  • Understand hair anatomy and physiology
  • Explore hair types and conditions
  • Learn about the ingredients and methods used to formulate safe, organic haircare products
  • Become familiar with the processes organic products must go through to be made available for purchase
