Course Format
This course is divided into several modules and is delivered online through our interactive learning management system. Students are given access to the learning portal where they can access the course 24/7. This gives them complete control over the pace of their learning while also enabling them to study from home, in their offices or from a laptop while traveling.
Course Duration:
Normative or minimum period of study to complete this is 45 hours. Take note that this is only an estimate. The duration of completing the course still depends on the learner’s pace and ability to absorb information. Additionally, as the course is delivered online, learners have the options to divide and study the course in multiple session or go through it one go.

Strategic Management for Hospitality and Tourism is the formulation of various strategies and implementing them effectively to reach an organization’s major goals. Strategizing includes energy and resources, assessing outcomes and results, priorities, and other important information. The goal of strategizing is to be flexible to make easy changes or transition in response to changing environment and demands.
Strategic management then transforms the strategies and plans formulated into a system that an organization will follow, ensuring alignment across every member, towards growth and financial success.
At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:
(1) understand the definition of strategic management;
(2) gain familiarization with tourism and hospitality;
(3) be aware of strategy framework;
(4) comprehend how strategies are formed; and
(5) apply strategy implementation.
To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.
In strategic Management for Hospitality and Tourism, the strategies formulated should be able to cater to diverse and unique demands of customers and the business needs. Implementation is a sensitive phase as when strategies and plans are not implemented and executed in alignment to the organization’s goals it can inhibit growth.
