Although popular in the IT industry, it can be used effectively across different industries. It is simple to understand, but difficult to master.

Scrum Master Certified (SMC™) professionals have a practical, working knowledge of Scrum that equips them to implement and work in a Scrum environment. It is an important role in any Scrum team and you need not be a technology expert to be effective.

Successful candidates will be awarded the Scrum Master Certified (SMC™) certification by SCRUMstudy after passing the certification exam.

This course aims to:

  • Provide you with a detailed understanding of the principles of Scrum.
  • Determine how to implement Scrum in your working environment.
  • Explain how to overcome obstacles that will impede your Scrum team.
  • Demonstrate how to teach others to utilise Scrum practices.

The certification exam will be delivered in the following format:

  • Multiple choice.
  • 100 questions per exam.
  • One mark awarded for every right answer.
  • No negative marks for wrong answers.
  • 120 minutes in duration
  • Proctored online exam.

Because of its popularity and effectiveness, Scrum practitioners are in high demand. Scrum provides practitioners with the tools to deliver successful outcomes early on in the project. This early delivery of results, and thereby value, provides an opportunity for reinvestment and proves the worth of the project to interested stakeholders.

Becoming a Scrum Master will enable you to guide, facilitate and teach Scrum principles to everyone involved in a project.

Who is this course for?

There is no formal prerequisite for this course. However, we advise that you complete the Scrum Developer course first to get the most out of this course.

We also recommend that you access the SBOK Guide, on which the SMC course is based on, as it can be used as an effective guide for implementation.
