Course Format

This course is divided into several modules and is delivered online through our interactive learning management system. Students are given access to the learning portal where they can access the course 24/7. This gives them complete control over the pace of their learning while also enabling them to study from home, in their offices or from a laptop while traveling.

Course Duration:

Normative or minimum period of study to complete this is 40 hours. Take note that this is only an estimate. The duration of completing the course still depends on the learner’s pace and ability to absorb information. Additionally, as the course is delivered online, learners have the options to divide and study the course in multiple session or go through it one go.

Learners will be given full access to this course for 12 months from the date of enrolment. During this period, learners are given the flexibility to complete the course at anytime.

Description

Life coaching is examining and discovering what is going on with a client’s life, such as the challenges, obstacles, hurdles, and finding solutions to those so that the client can work towards their specific goal. Life coaching is very different from counselling, as while counselling helps and supports people that are mostly struggling with disorders, with life coaching there is no disorder present. Life coaching is to help the individual progress to the next stage, whether that’s regarding a professional career or anything the client is interested in.

At the end of this course, students shall learn how to:

(1) understand life coaching;

(2) be aware of client expectations of life coaching;

(3) utilise the approaches in life coaching;

(4) be familiar with the pitfalls and misconceptions that occur regarding life coaching;

(5) gain knowledge about development in life;

(6) understand counselling;

(7) use advanced coaching techniques;

(8) comprehend career counselling;

(9) utilise advanced coaching techniques;

(10) use relaxation techniques;

(11) be familiar with hypnotherapy;

(12) understand defense mechanisms;

(13) gain knowledge about psychoanalysis;

(14) be aware of client referrals;

(15) treat clients with emotional issues;

(16) be familiar with deeper emotional issues;

(17) understand diet and losing weight;

(18) be aware of quitting smoking;

(19) do performance coaching;

(20) be familiar with therapy for clients with anger or stress;

(21) coach a group of people and

(22) be familiar with miscellaneous issues.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

Through life coaching, individuals are able to make sound decisions towards a better career path, or even life changing decisions.

This course does not work on Tablets and Mobile Phones.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
