Description

People who have experienced domestic violence have the tendency to recreate it when they get to have their own family. Unfortunately, this is a sad vicious circle. Abusers can be blinded by the need to make it right this time only to find themselves repeating the same behavior on their wives, partners, or children. Domestic violence is deeply rooted in various factors which make this problem complex and hard to treat.

Abusers and victims both need medical help. There are instances that help had been provided but after a couple of months both the victim and the abuser fell on the negative cycle once again.

There is no excuse for abusing any one. Nothing can justify inflicting physical, emotional, financial and psychological abuse towards others. Domestic violence has to stop.

It is time to get out of that abusive relationship or help someone you know who may be in one.

There is hope. There is help. There is information available to determine if you are in any kind of domestic violence.

At the end of this course, students shall develop a full understanding of:

(1) grooming process;

(2) abusive relationship cycles;

(3) effects of abusive relationships on adults and children;

(4) restorative process;

(5) relationship dynamics;

(6) building confidence and self-esteem;

(7) ensuring personal safety; and

(8) the impact of body language.

To achieve these goals, this course shall make use of interactive materials to present the concepts of the topics to be discussed. Assessments shall be done after the entire course to check for knowledge retention and understanding.

This course does not work on Tablets and Mobile Phones.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
